This month we suggest and activity that promotes creative thinking, using mind maps.
You have to practice this vocabulary, before creating the mind map. Make colorful flashcards using images. Flashcards most be easy to handle by you and your students.
Spring, flowers, bees, birds, butterflies, birds, green, sun.
Summer, rainy, umbrella, raincoat, wet.
Autumn, leaves, fall, trees, wind.
Winter, cold, sweater, snow, jacket, scarf, gloves, coat.
Paste all the flashcards on the blackboard and elicit information…
On the center paste the SPRING flashcard as this will be the main topic.
What do you think it happens in spring?
Draw branches that connect to the center and keep pasting the flashcards as the students answer your questions.
You can guide them to create this short dialogue:
In spring there are flowers, bees, birds, butterflies, everything is green and the sun shines.
Do the same with each season.
